Amsterdam Luncheon [Episode #219]
Most certainly over a century in age, today’s postcard reminds me of something out of Jane Austen novel. Imagine an era when you’d mail your mother a postcard to inform her of a phone call to arrange a luncheon, talk about an Edwardian tweet! Further investigation revealed that De Muiderpoort is Amsterdam's Railway Station and if you examine the image carefully there appears to be a train in the background.
